Where your vehicle has a dual-mass flywheel, we'll inspect its condition and advise whether replacement is needed at the same time. Clutch Repair FAQs

Common signs include a slipping clutch (engine revs rise without the car accelerating), a high or rising biting point, difficulty selecting gears, clutch judder on take-up, or a burning smell when pulling away. If you notice any of these, get it looked at — a worn clutch doesn't fix itself and will eventually leave you unable to drive.

On vehicles with a dual-mass flywheel (common on modern diesels and some petrols), the flywheel should be inspected whenever the clutch is replaced. If it's worn or damaged, replacing it at the same time avoids the cost of stripping the gearbox again later. We'll check it and advise honestly — we won't recommend replacing it unless it's needed.

Most clutch replacements are completed within a day. Some makes and models take longer due to gearbox access. We'll give you a realistic timeframe when we quote.
