What Happens If Your VW Fails

A failed MOT will identify either a major or dangerous fault. We'll explain every failure in plain language, give you a written quote for repair work, and let you decide how to proceed. Repairs can be carried out on-site at MotorWorld. All parts fitted carry a 3-year parts warranty (labour not covered).

Brakes

Brake pedal condition, handbrake operation, brake fluid level. Brake performance tested on a rolling road.

Tyres & Wheels

Tread depth (minimum 1.6mm), tyre condition, sidewall integrity, and wheel security.

Steering & Suspension

Steering play and response, suspension condition, shock absorbers, joints, and bushes.

Exhaust & Emissions

Exhaust condition, security, and emissions levels tested to the applicable standard for your VW's fuel type and age.

Bodywork & Structure

Sharp edges, structural corrosion, windscreen condition, and driver's field of view.

Seatbelts & Safety

Seatbelt condition and operation. Horn operation. Mirrors and wipers checked.
